Class 1 is  a hub of learning.

We now include Lerryn Nursery, Lerryn Early Years Foundation Stage , Year 1 and Year 2.

We have high expectations and huge dreams.

We enjoy fantastic  outdoor adventures in the woods and playground, cooking and laughter.

We will encourage use of Sum Dog Maths Programme, Power Maths, Active Learn reading and other ICT programs to help develop coding.

We  dance, sing, laugh and will become lifelong friends.

Welcome back after Autumn half term.

So now we are 15 pupils and 5 Nursery its time to find out where we live and what its like to be new.

This term we will look at our local geography, talk about our family, learn about the arrival of Jesus and share lots of stories about being lost and found.

This half term we will be getting ready for year 2 S.A.T's.

We will be leaning about the RNLI and Elmer the elephant.

In maths we will investigate money and measure.

In R.E we will look into Salvation and Budhism.

Meanwhile investigating materials in art and Science.


Also chatting about children in our parents evening.

In Class 1 we will be learning some fairytales, looking at Easter and planning growing experiments. We will be using a green screen and pracirtcing tests for S.A.T's. We will be learning Easter Songs and leaning about measures and multiplication.

Welcome back and Spring term begins.

we will be using dragons as our main literacy inspiration. Using multiplication and division as well as measure in Maths. In Science observing lifecycles and in R.E looking at the Chrisitan year. In art we will be making dragons and in Geography hunting around the woods using maps.

Welcome back everyone!

This half term we are using Aliens to help us learn about one another.

In R.E we are looking at various creation stories.

In Science we are looking at the human body and senses.

In lietracy we are using a range of texts including Aliens love...

In maths we are learning to count on from a number and multiply.

We will working alongside our Nursery, learning to share food, take turns and look after our health.

Polzeath Pre-school/Class 1 trip. We all went in, found a crab and even a beach monster (Mr Blunt)- what a fantastic class we have.
